in Adelaide, the Samoyed Club is dedicated to promoting the breed, supporting
members, providing advice and disseminating information about events
and issues of interest.
We hold a Championship breed specialty show each year, together
with several social events, and support members involved in a range
of activities including:
Sled Dog Racing
club is affiliated with the SA Canine Assoc. and maintains close links
with other like-minded clubs and organisations such as the Siberian
Husky & Alaskan Malamute Club, the SA Sled Dog Club and the Wild Dog
While the club has no "formal" rescue program, we have been successful
on a number of occasions in finding new homes for Samoyeds in need.
Fortunately, the need doesn't arise too often, but if you would be
interested in re-homing an older dog at some time in the future, please
register with the club secretary.
The club routinely participates in promotional events such as
Animal Expos and other exhibitions - any opportunity to educate the
public on all aspects of owning a Samoyed.

Animal Expo The Club will once again participate in the
Adelaide Animal Expo to be held at the Showgrounds from
April 28th to 30th.
Grooming Clinic YES! It's been rescheduled.
The most-regularly asked questions, the
most-often sought advice .... GROOMING!
The grooming clinic is now planned for Sunday, 7th May at
we will show you how to groom your Samoyed and show you the
best brushes and combs to use. We'll be located somewhere on
the Graduates Oval.

Championship Show 2017 sees the return of the club's
Championship Show, to be held on Saturday, 3rd June, at
David Roche Park, in conjunction with the Dogs SA Winter
Torrens Walk Sunday, 26th February - for a change, we
tackled a leisurely stroll along the footpaths around the
River Torrens in the City.

A dozen or more dogs turned up for the sleigh training
session - most showing good promise for future events.
